My Testimony

My career as a Pilates Instructor is my passion!  Day after day I am reminded of the extraordinary benefits of Pilates.  My most recent triumph...having my baby!  I started the deep breathing exercises of Pilates about a week after I had her.  Finding my deep abdominal and pelvic floor connection again felt wonderful, and I felt "normal" much sooner than I had expected!  I started back slow with matwork exercises.  Adding equipment in when I was released from my Dr.  My Dr. was so impressed with my abdominal connection at my 4 week post c-section visit! I was also able to wear my prepregnancy jeans to that appointment!  Losing all the baby weight was important to me, but feeling so great and strong is the most amazing bonus!

I pole vaulted in college.  A shoulder injury requiring surgery left me scared that at age 22, I would never have full range of motion in my shoulder again.  Even though I had followed the physical therapy protocol and my shoulder was "fixed", I was looking for more.  Pilates helped me gain that last few degrees of motion I was lacking.  It also balanced out the differences in my right and left shoulder.
